3 lbs of salt beef
1 head of cabbage, quartered
1 medium sized turnip cut in slices
1 lb carrots
1 bag yellow split peas Butter
Soak beef overnight in cold water.
Drain, add fresh water to pot. Boil for 45 minutes.
Add cabbage, carrot and turnip. Boil for another 20
Add potatoes. Boil for another 20 minutes or until
potatoes are fork tender.

Drain peas, place in a pudding bag and tie securely.
